Our business

From non-producing assets to national energy.

Idle well reactivation — oil & gas wells not currently producing but still viable for restart, based on technical, reservoir, integrity, surface-facility, and economic evaluation.

Cooperation model

KSOT — Operations & Technology Cooperation.

PT Sasamu Putra Indonesia is the first company executing reactivation under the KSOT concept. Through synergy between the Government, operators/KKKS, partners, investors, and communities, we unlock non-producing oil and gas assets and deliver added value to every stakeholder.

Reactivation process

Six stages from preparation to lifting.

01

Well pad & access road

Area clearing and drainage, cellar construction, waste tank provisioning, pit construction where required, and site restoration budget after completion.

02

Rig unit deployment

350 HP rig rental, manpower & accommodation mobilization, safety unit, heavy equipment, rig mobilization and demobilization.

03

Slickline — optional

Acquire actual well-condition data: temperature, pressure, fluid level, casing/tubing leak screening, and other well-bore condition data.

04

Stimulation / Acidizing — optional

Clear potential scale or deposits in perforation or borehole to improve production rate: pump service, chemical, mobilization, demobilization.

05

Perforation / Sand jetting — optional

Re-perforation of legacy productive zones or opening new productive layers via Sand Jetting. Minimum pump pressure ±2,650 psi.

06

Lifting process

Transferring oil & gas output from the production well to surface facilities using SRV/Pumpjack, HPU, or ESP based on well parameters.

Production methods

Three lifting technologies for idle wells.

The right artificial lift depends on well parameters — flow rate, depth, fluid type, and location.

Mature technology · Low risk

Sucker Rod Pump (Pumpjack)

The most mature artificial lift technology in the industry
Easy surface maintenance and routine inspection without pulling string
Reliable for low-to-medium rate wells, heavy oil, and sand
Limited performance on deep or high-deviation wells
Significant mechanical load on sucker rod components
Long stroke · Small footprint

Hydraulic Pumping Unit (HPU)

Long stroke, low speed reduces sucker rod wear
Smaller footprint — ideal for constrained sites
Stroke and speed parameters are highly tunable
Higher CAPEX for the precision hydraulic system
Requires specialized hydraulic technicians and strict quality control
High rate · Deep & deviated wells

Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP)

Very high flow rate (thousands of BBL per day)
Compact surface profile — suited to offshore / urban sites
Effective for deep, horizontal, or high-deviation wells
Sensitive to free gas and sand
Expensive workover on downhole component failure
Depends on stable power supply (VSD recommended)
Selection guide

Recommended lift by well parameters

Well condition / parametersRecommended systemTechnical rationale
High flow rate, medium-to-deepESPMultistage centrifugal sustains high flow with strong volumetric efficiency.
Low-to-medium rate, high viscosity, sandPumpjack (SRP)Positive mechanical motion tolerates heavy oil and sand abrasion.
Limited footprint / minimize rod wearHPULong stroke and compact footprint reduce rod wear cycles.
Very high gas-liquid ratioSRP or HPUReciprocating systems handle free gas without complex separation.
Remote onshore well, simple OPEXPumpjack (SRP)Global industry standard; abundant spare parts and expertise.
